Bharti Telesoft's next generation Differential Billing System (DBS) is a converged billing engine with real-time capabilities that supports all customers on the same platform.

Based on a component-oriented architecture, DBS can be deployed as an integrated system, a standalone system, or DBS components can be bundled to enhance existing billing capabilities. Key components are:
Mediation

Converts raw usage data into a complete representation of a transaction, scaling to accommodate growth in interconnect and settlement traffic and able to handle various protocols and networks

Rating

Improves time to market by processing real-time and batch transaction flows, whether the operator environment is SMS, GPRS or MMS, and enables operators to offer flexible, customer-oriented services and tariffs

Balance Management

Provides a rule-based real-time and batch mode balance enquiry check for customers, authenticating and authorizing the usage event based on available balance. Balance attributes can be defined for credit limits, threshold limits and multiple balance enquiries.

External Interface

Integrates with backend systems, such as Subscriber Profiling, Billing and Prepaid Debit Systems for usage of data collection, subscriber provisioning and alarms/alerts
